Public Lecture at the University of Basel on “The Invention of Moderate Islam after 9/11” (Nov 25, 2021)

I’m looking forward to participate in the lecture series “20 years after 9/11”, co-organized by the Universities of Freiburg and Basel. Together with Alex Balistreri (University of Basel), I will try to shed light on how authoritarian regimes used the rhetoric of “moderate Islam”.
