Two new reviews of my book are in.

Sarthak Choudhury writes in the Indian newspaper Business Standard the book “could not have been published at a more interesting time for Indian readers”.

Paul Rollier of the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland argues in Middle East Journal, Vol. 73, No. 4, (Winter 2019), pp. 675-679 that the book is “a fascinating intervention within the field of Islamic studies and an important contribution to the intellectual history of both South Asia and the Middle East […] Its lucid prose and through-provoking analytical engagement with transnational Islam makes it highly recommendable to those interested in the journey of religious ideas between the Middle East and South Asia”.
